Supporting Potcakes in 8 Mile Rock: A Mint for Meals Initiative
At Potcake Rescue, our mission is simple: shine a light on the needs of Potcakes across The Bahamas and beyond. This weekend, we are launching a special mint incentive to support Keith Cooper’s inspiring rescue efforts in 8 Mile Rock, Grand Bahama. For every two NFTs minted, we’ll ship or purchase a 30–40 lb bag of Pedigree dog food to aid Keith in his work.

Keith’s Story: Answering a Silent Plea
On August 21, Keith G. Cooper shared a story that touched hearts across the island. While driving through 8 Mile Rock, he spotted a thin, desperate Potcake mother. She glanced toward his truck, silently asking for help. Keith rushed to buy food and returned to find her, cautious but hopeful. With a soft whistle, she appeared, and for the first time in a long while, she had a proper meal.
Keith has continued to check on her, bringing food and water. On August 28, he shared an update: the Potcake now recognizes him as a friend. Though still wary of strangers, she is slowly building trust—her eyes reflecting gratitude for his kindness. Keith hopes to one day hear the whimpers of her hidden pups and help them too.

Why This Matters
Potcakes like this mother and her pups often go unseen and unheard when far away from Freeport, the main city on the island. Keith is determined to make a difference, and we want to help multiply his impact. Food donations will not only sustain this Potcake family, but also support others in the area.
Any supplies beyond Keith’s immediate needs will either be stored in the U.S. for future shipments or delivered directly to the Humane Society of Grand Bahama, ensuring every bag of food makes a meaningful impact.
