"The picture was taken of a Haitian woman who was cleaning dishes outside her home. As i painted it, I decided to include an underlying meaning. The graffiti in the background speaks to gun violence...and the woman with a cloth in her hand represents blood. The detergent bottle has the word "justice" on it. By this I meant that women or the family, has to clean up the dirty dishes of society drenched with the blood of victims using the detergent of justice." - Lamont
